Over the past several years of studying the Word from the Hebraic backdrop in which it was written, God has impressed upon me several important themes that needed correcting in the doctrine and beliefs that I grew up with. For instance, I never really understood how the Law was done away with on the cross but then it is called “perfect, good, holy, worthy of all doctrine and reproof, etc…” How can something that is abolished be still useful for today? How can Paul seem to say that we are not under it any longer but then go on to say in Romans that he upholds it (Rom 3:31) and that it is the only way to define what sin is?

Have the commandments of God been destroyed? Is the Law done away with? If not, what was done away with in the book of Hebrews and what and how do we keep it? The Romans study will show unequivocally that the term “under the law” has been grossly misunderstood throughout Christian circles over the centuries and has led to an amazing amount of false doctrine and interpretations of many scriptures. You will learn what Paul was fighting in most of his epistles and what the issues were surrounding his letters to his converts.

Another question that pursued me was what really happens after death? If we all stand immediately before the judgment seat after death like I was taught growing up, then why does it say in the Old Testament that Daniel, David, Samuel and all the great men of faith are still resting waiting for judgment? And why does it say in Revelation that no one will be thrown into the Lake of Fire until the end of the thousand year millennial reign of Christ? This study finally solves the mystery of the rapture and gives us a play by play action of what does happen after death and at the end of time.

And then there is the Fourth Commandment? It says to remember to keep the Sabbath day holy, right? Then why does most of Christianity forget it? If God tells us to keep it on Saturday, then why and how did it get changed to Sunday? Do we have the right to change the day? Does God care?

What about what we eat? It almost sounds silly doesn’t it? Until you actually dig into the topic and find out that God told us what to eat and not to eat over a thousand years before He gave the Law to Moses! How could Jesus dying on the cross make a pig clean anyway? You will be shocked to discover passages such as Mark 7, Acts 10 and Col 2 have all been misunderstood to mean something that the author never intended.
